Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Ali Sharaf Al-Din stressed the importance of the role of e-learning in improving the quality of education and applying the principles of active and effective learning.

Dr. Sharaf Al-Din pointed out in a workshop on how to manage and use e-learning platforms and programs to keep pace with the developments imposed by the Corona pandemic on university education in Yemen, that the spread of Corona in the world made educational institutions in Yemen go to e-learning according to approved scientific standards and modern technological means to keep pace with advanced developments in this the field.

He drew attention to the characteristics and advantages of e-learning in creating an interactive environment during the education process through the multiplicity of the technologies used .. Noting the equipment of the University of Arab Academics and the Yemeni Academy and their specific engineering specializations and their role in graduating Yemeni competencies that contribute to construction and development, especially after attracting aggression to most Yemeni cadres in engineering disciplines .

The Deputy Minister of Higher Education called on the Ministry of Communications to allocate free high-speed internet lines for individuals at symbolic prices for universities to encourage this type of digital education and catch up with the rapid global developments in this field.

In the workshop that the Arab Academics University for Science and Technology in cooperation with the Yemeni Academy of Oil and Gas Engineering, the President of the University’s Board of Trustees, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Dhanbi, indicated that the goals of the workshop are to refine the skills of faculty members and develop their professional performance with information through the use of e-learning systems and platforms and how to communicate it to students with ease.

He pointed out that the workshop is accompanied by the launch of the university's website and the lifting of digital lectures for free to all Yemeni students ... indicating that the university and academic teaching system combines the technical, vocational and academic education course.

For his part, the dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Dr. Adel Al-Shugairi, and the Dean of the College of Technical Engineering at the University, Dr. Hammoud Al-Nahari, reviewed the axes, goals, features and characteristics of e-learning and its importance in university education, its patterns and components, and the mechanism of employing this type of education in the service and development of the educational process.

At the conclusion of the workshop, which was attended by the Chairman of the Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council, Dr. Ali Al-Kaf and his deputy, Dr. Fadl Baalawi, and the President of the Arab Academics University for Science and Technology, Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Mikhlafi, the University and the Yemeni Academy for Media Oil and Gas Engineering honored the Al-Sahat channel Abdul Hafiz admire the Shield of Excellence and an appreciation certificate in appreciation of his efforts in following up Issues on the Yemeni scene.
